The Development Foundation is a consultancy resource for organisations who want to lift the capability of leaders and teams.

Established by Nicky Sinclair in 2004, we have worked across a number of sectors within both New Zealand and Australia.

Our bespoke development solutions have helped leaders and teams to thrive and make a difference not only for themselves but also to benefit their organisations, industries and communities.

Tools & Resources

Whist we will tailor any initiative to meet your specific needs, the core tools and resources that we can offer are:

  • HBDI – We are accredited users of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Indicator, a tool to support whole brain thinking within organisations and provide insight into individual and team preferences
  • Team Alchemy – We are accredited providers of the Team Alchemy system, a tool to support the development of high performance teams. Team Alchemy  provides teams with a proven model of team success, a clear benchmark of performance through a diagnostic survey and tools to enable teams to lift performance and become truly high performing.
  • Leadership 360 – We have on-line 360 Feedback capability which we can tailor to your specific development framework or you can utilise our NZ benchmarked survey that identifies development strengths, supports individual development needs and a clear path to increased performance.
  • One-on-One Coaching – We offer individual development coaching, for leaders at all levels of the organisation. Coaching is typically tailored to the specific needs of an individual, often using the HBDI or 360 feedback resources to help create insight and clarity.
  • Strengths Based Team & Leadership Development – Our team and leadership initiatives are all customised, however we have bespoke programmes that focus on developing strengths, building team cohesion, ensuring long-term development, all of which are based on proven research and methodology.

Nicky delivered two wonderful workshops for the AUT STEM Women team.

The Collaboration Workshop, with insights into diversity and breaking biases, and International Women’s Day group workshop, showcasing group differences and strengths. These both gave us a platform to engage in thought provoking group activities which helped us to develop insights and understanding on how differences can be strengths and how to navigate this to foster meaningful connections at university and in the workplace.
